I have 2 and a half weeks until: My sister's wedding.
Meaning: Everyone who was here, plus Aunt Kristin, will be back and I want to be moved in. As in Unpacked. Also that I have several pounds to lose before then. Better get working!
The plan for this week: Unpack stuff in the bathroom (check), finish putting away everything in our room, put away everything in the family room, and keep working the office area. Also, to do the elliptical at least 4 times this week for 30 minutes each time. (Hear that, children? Meaning please nap at the same time so that this is possible!)

Christmas Tree
Beginning of the Christmas season is upon us! I wish there was one more week in between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then we could have a little more time to buy presents, listen to Christmas music, and admire our Christmas trees.
Speaking of which, I am loving our tree this year. We had to buy one since the last few years we just had a little 4 foot artificial one that didn't make it in the move. We got a cute 7' one on Black Friday (and by 'we' I mean John while I slept in my nice warm bed) and then bought silver and red ornaments for it. Plus a few must-haves like our wedding ornament, the babies' First Christmas ornaments, and all the 'year' ornaments. Which I have yet to find as an end to 2009.
I love Christmas lights. White ones. (Just ask John, he missed that there were stickers on the outside of the Christmas tree saying 'multi-colored' and 'clear'...leading to a long morning, but a happy result). I think it is the perfect amount of light to have in the evening when it gets dark sooo early and overhead lights drive me nuts cause they are too bright. I wish we could leave the little lights out all winter long!
Still on the list of Christmas things we need: tree skirt and stockings. Unless I remember correctly and we have the hand-me-downs from mom...I will just have to find them in the 20+ small boxes sitting unopened in the garage because they have books in them too and I have no where for them to go.
