Growing up in this family you are going to learn a lot about money. We are careful with it, but we also allow for there to be enough to have fun!
Along with making sure there is enough to have fun, we always pay our tithing before paying anything else. A trial for some people is the commandment to pay tithing, but luckily this isn't one of ours (we have other trials :)). I hope you grow to understand the importance of tithing and realize that we have been given so much, and ten percent back to the Lord is a small token of showing our gratitude. Recently our ward was asked to give more for our fast offerings, so Dad and I decided to double what we were giving in order to follow what was asked and to help provide more food for those having a tough time in this economy. I have heard so many stories from people who had to choose between something like tithing or paying gas. One sister in one of our wards paid her tithing and her gas tank stayed just above empty for an entire week until her payday. I don't have any amazing stories like that, but we have been blessed and used our finances wisely.
